Let the People Sing
2:30 p.m.
In November 2025, the Annie Russell Theatre presented the premiere of Let the People Sing, a new play by Conner Chaumley ’26, Yasmine Hudson ’27, Max Payton ’27, and Dr. Marianne DiQuattro. The result of a year of research, the work follows Zora Neale Hurston from New York to nearby Eatonville and is based on the history behind a performance of her folk musical at Rollins College in 1933. This program offers a look at footage from the premiere production, followed by a live performance featuring Breyonna Crawford ’29 and the cast.
The Indian River Estuary in Concert
3 p.m.
Offer students a course that asks them to research, compose collaboratively, rehearse, perform, and document an original educational subject. The result? In fall 2024, the class, taught by Dan Flick, produced The Indian River Estuary in Concert. Visiting the Indian River Lagoon in person and tapping the expertise of historians and scientists, their performance reflects their creative interpretation of the Lagoon’s history and its struggle for survival. Talk with graduating Bonner Leaders about their capstone research projects—community-based examinations of areas of personal interest developed over their four years of learning, service, and exploration with local nonprofit organizations.
